Council looks to future

Brief

The City of Port Phillip is one of the largest and most progressive councils in Melbourne. Its municipality includes many of Melbourne’s inner city seaside suburbs, such as Port Melbourne, St Kilda and Elwood. Oyster was asked to develop a new range for corporate and community communication designs to cover the majority of the councils needs for the foreseeable future.

Solution

We developed a multi-purpose design systems, with inter-changeable colour options to reflect the urban character and diversity of the municipality. We also developed an extensive photo library for the council, making quality stock footage available for multiple uses.

Result

These innovative designs provide the council with a modular framework to develop new communications quickly and cost effectively. They have been applied successfully for both internal and external communications, which are either created in-house with a range of templated formats, or externally by design agencies. This approach has resulted in a more consistent look for the council and strengthens both the branding of the organisation and the quality of the finished product.
